A method based on the theory of generalized functions is developed for solving stationary boundary value problems for Maxwell's equations. Singular boundary integral equations and integral representations are constructed for the electric and magnetic fields generated by impressed monochromatic currents in diffraction problems involving three-dimensional, thin, spatially periodic, and planar structures.
