\textit{Y. J. Cho, K. S. Ha} and \textit{S. Chang} [Math. Jap. 46, No. 1, 169-179 (1997; Zbl 0888.47038)] established a common fixed point theorem for four maps which are pairwise compatible of type (A) in a non-Archimedean Menger PM space. In this paper the authors prove the same result for pairwise weakly compatible mappings of type (A) in the setting of a 2-non-Archimedean Menger PM space.
