Let \(E_1\) be a~real normed space, \(E_2\) a~Banach space and \(f_1,f_2,f_3,f_4:E_1\to E_2\). The stability of the~quadratic functional equation of Pexider type \[ f_1(x+y)+f_2(x-y)=f_3(x)+f_4(y) \] in the spirit of Hyers, Ulam and Rassias is proved.
