Here, the author considers the dynamics of systems of differential equations for which small perturbations are characterized by a large delay in the neighborhood of a cycle. New dynamical effects are revealed. An asymptotic method is developed for constructing stable cycles. Special evolution equations that play the role of normal forms are constructed.
