From authors' summary: This paper describes construction of finite difference schemes on triangular meshes for approximate solution of problems in mathematical physics in complex computational domains. Delaunay optimal triangulation is used as a computational mesh. Differencing is based on the method of volume balance. For a two-dimensional time-independent convection-diffusion equation, we present finite difference approximations of convection and diffusion operators.
