From authors' summary: We consider the linearized Navier-Stokes equations, the continuity equation and the equation for isentropic process, for a rotating viscous compressible Newtonian fluid, in order to obtain an equation for pressure waves. This equation is solved to get the dispersion law for such waves. A limit form of the law is obtained for a viscous compressible static fluid. The existence of gaps and a typical waveguide effect are revealed, and dispersion relations are presented for real and imaginary parts of wave vector.
