Let \(D\) be an exterior domain with a smooth boundary and remove several bounded smooth arcs (`cracks'). Using integral equations, the author investigates the Neumann problem for the Laplacian in a classical setting and arrives at the result which is to be expected from the corresponding result in the problem without cracks.
