Symmetry of the tangential Cauchy-Riemann equations and scalar CR invariants (Q5956132)

The authors seek a description of the CR invariants of a smooth real hypersurface in \(\mathbb C^{n+1}\) with a nondegenerate Levi form. They consider CR invariants as scalar functions on the jet space of a CR embedding \(F:M \to\mathbb C^{n+1}\), which are invariant under deformations of the embedding. These are related to the symmetries of the CR embedding equations. Their construction avoids the introduction special defining functions as in [\textit{C. Fefferman}, Invent. Math. 26, 1-65 (1974; Zbl 0289.32012)].
