The paper deals with a topological structure of efficient and proper efficient point sets in vector optimisation. Among topological properties of these sets, contractibility and connectedness are widely discussed. A new method which makes possible to establish the contractibility result of an efficient point set and the path connectedness result of a Henig efficient point set with the ordering cone having no bounded base is developed. The paper is addressed to researchers working in the area of vector optimization.
