The adaptive stabilization of a class of reaction-diffusion systems governed by a nonlinear partial differential equation of the first order in time but fourth order in space is considered. The adaptive stabilizer is constructed using the concept of high-gain nonlinear output feedback and an estimation mechanism of the unknown parameters under bounded deterministic disturbance. The global asymptotic stability and the convergence of the state of the control system will be guaranteed.
