For a given positive integer \(k>1\) the author finds characterizations of two families of real functions: (1)~of the sums of \(k\) non-negative Darboux functions; (2)~of the products of \(k\) bounded Darboux functions. The same characterizations are also valid if one replaces Darboux functions by almost continuous functions in the sense of Stallings.
