The author analyses the equation of motion of ``small affinely-rigid bodies'' moving in a Riemannian space. Thus, the concept of an extended rigid body, which does not make sense in a Riemannian space, is replaced by that of a point with an attached orthonormal basis, describing internal degrees of freedom. Several cases are discussed.
