Some factorization theorems for spaces close to metrizable spaces (Q5960215)

The author proves some factorization theorems for mappings into \(\mu\)-spaces [\textit{K.~Nagami}, Actes Congr. internat. Math. 1970, 2, 33-37 (1971; Zbl 0225.54017)] and into the closed images of locally compact metrizable spaces. Also, a weak factorization theorem is obtained for the mappings into arbitrary Lashnev spaces. In terms of the obtained results the equality of the dimensions dim and Ind is established for normal spaces possessing closed and zero-dimensional (in the dim sense) mappings into \(\mu \)-space.
