The paper describes the hybrid boundary element method for elastodynamics in the frequency domain of Fourier transformation and yields the domain and boundary variables from symmetric algebraic equations for the weighting coefficients at each frequency of interest. Results of a one-dimensional elastodynamic application are shown to be consistent with analytical solutions.
