By reversing the time variable, a stochastic representation is derived for backward Navier-Stokes equations in terms of stochastic Lagrangian paths. This representation alows a self-contained proof for local existence of solutions in Sobolev spaces of Navier-Stokes equations in the whole space. In two dimentions there is an alternative proof to the global existence and a large deviation estimate for stochastic particle trajectories is included.
