For a given \(n \times m\) real matrix \(X\) and an \(m \times m\) diagonal one \(\Lambda\) the author considers the problem of finding all generalized centrosymmetric matrices \(A\) such that \(\| AX - X \Lambda \| = \min\). He gives an expression of the solutions and also provides a structure-preserving iterative algorithm of finite element model updating.
