Fluctuations of the one-dimensional polynuclear growth model in half-space (Q596616)

The authors study the multi-point equal time height fluctuations of the polynuclear growth model in a half-space with external source at the origin. They introduce the multi-layer polynuclear growth model. In the scaling limit the authors show that crossover between the fluctuation at the origin and that in the bulk corresponds to the orthogonal/symplectic to unitary transition ensemble at soft edge in random matrix theory. Some discussions, conjectures and Monte Carlo results are given as well.
