On the uniqueness of the branching parameter for a random cascade measure (Q596624)

In the study the author attempts to convey two main conclusions: first, there are true thermodynamic phase transitions in one-dimensional systems with short range interactions, in spite of the widespread belief on the opposite; and second, the author provides a very general theorem about non-existence of those transitions. Moreover, the author discusses both conclusions and their implications.
