This paper presents the formulation and solution for three-dimensional (3-d) analog of the second basic problem of elasticity theory for a cylindrical elastic solid. The components of the displacement are supposed to be polynomials of the corresponding coordinate, and the coefficients of the polynomials are solutions of auxiliary boundary value problems.
