The authors propose a new algorithm for finite difference decomposition for the two dimensional heat conduction equation suitable for parallel computing. The method is illustrated by an example of linear heat conduction equation in a rectangular domain divided into nine sub domains. Although the accuracy of all the domain decomposition algorithms is claimed to be better than that of purely implicit method, the error appears to be quite high of the order of ten percent and hence needs to be further refinement.
