The goal of the paper is to introduce the generalized discrete bi-polymatroids and the corresponding notion of generalized bi-polymatroidal monomial ideals. Several properties of these ideals are studied. It is shown that the generalized bi-polymatroidal ideals have linear quotients and satisfy the strong persistence property. Many examples are given.
