For an integral symmetric matrix, I. Mirković constructs a new nonabelian homology localization of the lattice vertex algebra on the corresponding loop Grassmannian space. The author attempts to motivate the construction by presenting related topics in the language of ``interaction of particles over algebraic curves'' (Section 2).
