In this self-contained paper, the author uses elementary arguments, based on a result of R. Lagrange whose proof in included, to prove several important facts about the category of Boolean algebras: the strong amalgamation property, the joint extension property, epimorphisms are onto, and pushouts preserve monomorphisms.
