The authors prove an improvement of an inequality of Grüss type in inner product spaces, due to S. S. Dragomir. Refinements of this type are applied to some well-known trapezoidal-Grüss and Ostrowski-Grüss type inequalities. An additive reverse of the Schwarz inequality is also pointed out.
