Superconvergence and accuracy enhancement of discontinuous Galerkin solutions for Vlasov-Maxwell equations (Q6082220)

This paper considers the discontinuous Galerkin method for the numerical approximation of the Vlasov-Maxwell system. More precisely, the main result is a superconvergence error estimate for the non-negative norm of this approximation. As usual, the key ingredient of the proof is the construction of a dual problem which allows to obtain the desired estimates. The theoretical results are successfully illustrated by numerical experiments for the simulation of both Vlasov-Ampère and Vlasov-Maxwell systems.
