The paper deals with the continuous wavelet transform with rotations. The author studies a relationship between the regularity of a multivariate function and the decay of the continuous wavelet transform as the scale parameter tends to zero. Two-sided estimates are established for a wide class of wavelets satisfying the admissible condition. The author gives the characterization of Hölder spaces via the continuous wavelet transform with rotations. The paper concludes with an analysis of the regularity of weak solutions of partial differential equations on Hölder and Sobolev spaces using the continuous wavelet transform with rotations.
