The authors have used a high-order numerical model for the simulation of chemically reacting flow in the low-Mach number limit. A fourth-order (in space) projection algorithm for the momentum transport is coupled to a fourth-order in space, second-order in time scheme for the solution of the equations of transport of energy and species mass fractions and a block structured adaptively refined mesh. Finite differences have been used to approximate spatial derivatives.
