The authors obtain asymptotic expansions of the distribution \(\delta^{(k)} (r-a)\) concentrated on the sphere by making use of the Fourier transformation and the integral representation of the Bessel function. Also, they characterize the distributions concentrated on the sphere as the sums of multiple layers.
