The authors study a class of Finsler metrics, called generalized Douglas-Weyl (GDW) metrics. By finding equations which depend on the description of the metrics as warped products, they find GDW-metrics which are non-trivial in the sense that these metrics are neither Douglas metrics nor Weyl metrics. The paper is nicely written and the results are new and interesting.
