A universal approach to vertex algebras (Q615853)

In the paper under review, the authors characterize vertex algebras as algebras over a certain graded co-operad. The characterization is obtained by studying the algebraic structure present on correlation functions of a vertex algebra. The authors also give the presentations of certain well-known vertex algebras by generators and defining relations.
