\textit{E. Karapınar} [Adv. Theory Nonlinear Anal. Appl. 2, No. 2, 85--87 (2018; Zbl 1412.47137)] started studying Kannan type contraction via the technique of interpolation. In the present paper the authors investigate the existence of fixed points for the interpolative Matkowski type contraction, \(w\)-interpolative Matkowski type contraction and interpolative Boyd-Wong type contraction in \(b\)-metric spaces.
