The content of this paper is best described by its abstract: ``Bounded composition operators with matrix symbols on \(L^2(\mu )\), where \(\mu \) is a positive Borel measure with a Laplace type density function on the \(d\)-dimensional Euclidean space, are studied. Hyponormality and subnormality of adjoints of such operators are characterized explicitly in terms of their symbols.''
