Generalized monomial functions \(f, g : {\mathbb F} \rightarrow {\mathbb C}\) that also fulfill \[ f(P(x)) = Q(g(x)), \; x\in {\mathbb F} \] are considered. Conditions are found under which generalized monomial function is necessarily a generalized polynomial on the multiplicative structure.
