A famous representation theorem of \textit{C. V. Negoita} and \textit{D. A. Ralescu} [Applications of fuzzy sets to systems analysis. Interdisciplinary Systems Research. Vol. 11. Basel-Stuttgart: Birkhäuser Verlag (1975; Zbl 0326.94002)] is essentially improved, in the sense that a condition on the structures of the lattice-valued fuzzy sets and lattice-valued flou sets is dropped and replaced with the additional hypothesis of an antitone involution in order to show that both structures are dually isomorphic.
