The authors introduce the concept \((i,j)\)-generalized closed sets with respect to an ideal \(I\) in a bitopological space \((X,\tau_1,\tau_2)\) which they call \((i,j)\)-\(Ig\)-closed sets; the relation of this notion with the usual \((i,j)\)-\(g\)-closed sets is discussed and the non-implication side is corroborated by an example. Some results on this new type of closed sets are proved; \((i,j)\)-\(I\)-generalized open sets come naturally with respect to an ideal \(I\) and some properties of such sets are discussed.
