The optimal constants for some weighted Poincaré inequalities earlier obtained by \textit{F. Ferrari} and \textit{E. Valdinoci} [Indiana Univ. Math. J. 58, No. 4, 1619--1638 (2009; Zbl 1179.35121)] are computed and discussed. Furthermore, some more general weighted Poincaré inequalities are proved and optimal constants also derived.
