This paper is devoted to Model-View-Controller/Model-View-Presenter (MVC/MVP) GUI architectures of statistical visualization software. The main attention is paid to the Taligent MVP (TMVP). The data visualization framework, components of TMVP and their modes of communication are considered. Issues as the place and role of the selection component and organization of selection highliting in statistical applications are discussed.
