\(C^1\) linearization is of special interests because it can distinguished characteristic directions of dynamical systems. The authors provide improve bounds concerning \(C^1\) linearization for planar contractions. Furthermore, it is proved that the derivatives of transformations in the provided \(C^1\) linearization are Hölder continuous. Finally, a counterexample shows that the proposed estimates cannot be improved anymore.
