The author proves existence and multiplicity results for nonlinear Dirac equations on general compact spin manifolds. These results cover both super-quadratic and sub-quadratic nonlinearities. In the case of odd nonlinearities, one shows the existence of infinitely many solutions. For the strongly indefinite variational problem studied here, the approach used in the paper relies on Galerkin type approximations and linking arguments.
