This book results from the different lectures on operations research held by the authors at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) in Germany. The book will be an indispensable text for the students of economics, engineering and mathematics. From Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 several basic concepts of linear optimization, extension and application of the linear optimization, graph theory and network planning technique are introduced. Various aspect of the integer optimization, heuristics, non-linear optimization, dynamic optimization and the queuing theory are discussed from Chapter 5 to Chapter 9.
