This paper draws four approaches to understanding of probability and solving problems involving probability. The author discusses the subjective Bayesian perspective, the Shannon information theory perspective, the formal perspective and the programmer's perspective. The benefits of these perspectives are illustrated by means of an example in which the author completely solves the hitherto open problem of the two envelopes. The obtained conclusions are very inspiring for further discussions.
