The book under review contains some contributions of the participants of the second of the two ``Conferences on Inequalities and Applications'' that took place in Hajdúszoboszló in September 2010, as well as other invited articles. These conferences are intended as continuations of the ``General Inequalities'' meetings which were held nine times between 1976 and 2007. The first seven of those meetings were held in Oberwolfach between 1976 and 1995 and were organized by Wolfgang Walter (1927--2010), whose 1970 book on differential and integral inequalities is considered a real breakthrough that is responsible for generating a lot of interest and research in the field. It is for these and many other contributions of Walter to the field that the book is dedicated to him. The book starts with a 23-page article written (in German) in memory of Walter. Then a chapter is devoted to the abstracts of the talks of the participants of the conference, together with some problems addressed to researchers, instructors, and even students. The rest of the book is divided into six parts devoted to (1) boundary value problems, (2) numerical methods, (3) geometric and norm inequalities, (4) generalized convexity, (5) convexity and related inequalities, and (6) other equations and inequalities. Each of these six parts consists of three to four papers, each of which deserves a separate review on its own.
