It is proved that any non-constant \(J\)-holomorphic disc with boundary in a given Lagrangian submanifold of a smooth almost complex manifold can be decomposed into a sum of a finite number of \(J\)-holomorphic simple discs with the same Lagrangian boundary condition. As a consequence, the author discovers that, in dimensions higher than 6, any generic \(J\)-holomorphic disc is multicovered.
