In the paper under review, the author treats the bilinear operators on Jacobi orthogonal systems and those on the modified Hankel transforms. Then he shows a transference theorem among those orthogonal systems. The main result of the paper generalizes the corresponding result obtained in [\textit{D. Fan} and \textit{S. Sato}, J. Aust. Math. Soc. 70, No. 1, 37--55 (2001; Zbl 0984.42006)]. The converse transference theorem remains unknown.
