On the regularity of certain projective monomial curves (Q648753)

The present paper studies the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of projective monomial curves. The main result of the paper, Theorem 3.4 describes the regularity of a projective monomial curve in terms of combinatorial data associated to the curve. Section 4 of the paper gives two applications of this result. First the authors describe an algorithm to compute the regularity of projective monomial curves. Second, Theorem 3.4 is applied to compute the regularity of an infinite class of almost arithmetic progression curves.
