The \textit{slope} is an invariant of coloured links with a distinguished component. To such a link \(L\) the slope associates a function from a certain subvariety of the character variety of \( L \) to \( \mathbb{C} \cup \infty \), cf. [\textit{A. Degtyarev} et al., Contemp. Math. 772, 93--105 (2021; Zbl 1494.57006)].\N\NThis paper proves that a certain restriction of the slope is invariant under the appropriate notion of (topological) concordance for the links involved. It is also shown that for certain families of links the slope may be computed from a Seifert surface.
