The paper studies the identification of the capacity of a social network. It considers the problem of identifying the optimum distributed parameter-function, namely the capacity factor of a diffusive logistic model of a global social network. It is found that the direct extremum approach can be used for the parametric identification of dynamic and distributed diffusive models of social networks. It shows the high efficiency of the controllable descent direction model, compared to the traditional generalization of the steepest descent model to infinite-dimensional spaces. The optimum identification of social network parameters can provide the minimum number of errors in modeling information flows.
