In this article, necessary and sufficient conditions for a number to be prime are provided. These conditions involve the determinant of the so-called single-variable cyclemaster matrix. These matrices represent an extension of the cyclemaster matrices defined earlier by the second author [Integers 20, Paper A82, 42 p. (2020; Zbl 1462.11016)].
