Quantum graph is a noncommutative generalization of finite graphs. As for the classical graphs, there are several ways to define the quantum graphs: as certain operators acting on a Hilbert space, or quantum adjacency matrices, or certain operator bimodules. The paper under review is a comprehensive survey which emphasises a purely algebraic unifying approach to the quantum graphs. The survey is well composed, clearly written and all examples are carefully selected. The bibliography list comprises 51 items. A draft of the paper is available \url{https://arxiv.org/abs/2203.08716}.
