Nonstationary matrix-valued multiresolution analysis from the extended affine group (Q6548013)

The authors characterize scaling functions of nonstationary matrix--valued multiresolution analyses (NMMRA's) in the matrix-valued function space \(L_2(R, C^{\ell \times \ell})\), where \(\ell\) is a natural number. The main results of the paper are a characterization of scaling functions of an NMMRA, construction of matrix--valued nonstationary wavelets from the extended affine group, and properties of scaling functions of an NMMRA.
